Brides are snapping up low-cut wedding dresses

You expect to see cleavage on the red carpet — but down the aisle?

Apparently so. More brides than ever are choosing to go sexy for their big day with navel-deep necklines, NPR reports.

The ultra-deep V made an appearance on the Spring/Summer 2019 runways of Reem Acra, Theia and Carla Ruiz, to name a few — and bold brides are taking note.

During wedding dress shopping, about “90 percent of brides want to try on a revealing gown,” “Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta” cohost Monte Durham tells NPR.

While not all women opt for an extra-exposed gown in the end, plenty of them do choose to play peek-a-boo. Durham says the top-selling gown at his store, Bridals By Lori, is “extremely revealing.”

And why not? Looking innocent on your wedding day isn’t as cool as it was 50 years ago. And are princesses really better than vixens, anyway?

Paging Meghan Markle — there’s still time for some quick tailoring, if you’re not feeling the Kate Middleton look.
