Ben John Horvath and Andrew Brian Begel are to be married June 30 at Robinswood House, a historic mansion and events space in Bellevue, Wash. Rabbi Seth Goldstein is to officiate.
Mr. Horvath (left), 40, is a librarian specializing in information literacy and instruction for high school and college students. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and received a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Washington.
He is the son of James Horvath of Austin, Tex., and the late Antoinette Horvath. His father, who is retired, was a lieutenant in the Austin Fire Department. His mother was a stay-at-home parent.
Mr. Begel, 44, is a senior researcher for Microsoft in Redmond, Wash., where he studies the working relationships of software engineers and develops accessible technologies to help people with disabilities. He graduated from M.I.T. and received a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
He is a son of Dianne Begel and Dr. Howard Begel of West Palm Beach, Fla. His father, who is retired, was an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Monroe, N.Y. His mother was a stay-at-home parent.
Mr. Begel’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
The couple met in June 2015 through the dating site Match.com, and a month later had their first date kayaking in Seattle.
