Zara Tindall’s ‘brutal’ comment to Prince Harry at Eugenie’s wedding revealed

Like many families, momentous occasions can often be the only time all members of the extended royal family gather in one place.

This was especially true of 2018’s royal wedding between Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, when the stylish royals were out in force to celebrate the special day of the young couple.

Among the impressive guest list were the late Queen and Prince Philip as well as her cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

However during the wedding proceedings themselves, it was cousin Zara Tindall that soon made waves as she reportedly turned to Prince Harry to make a brutal jibe about his own wedding, which had taken place in the very same venue just months earlier.

According to a lip reader, during the service Zara leaned back in her seat and told the prince: "It's very quiet compared to the screaming at your wedding."

In response, he asked: “Mine?"

Both Eugenie and Harry’s weddings were held at the picturesque St George's Chapel, Windsor – with the chapel also used to host Queen Elizabeth’s final funeral service before she was interred.

Yet despite sharing the same location, the ceremonies couldn’t have been more different, with Princess Eugenie’s featuring far more guests, despite Harry being the senior.

Prince Andrew, Eugenie’s father, simply chalked it up to the fact his daughter had "so many friends”, in yet another subtle snub to Prince Harry.

Both weddings however, were filled with a wealth of famous faces, with celebrity guests, with George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and the Beckhams joining the royals for the Sussexes' big day.

By contrast it was stars such as musician Robbie Williams and model Cara DeLevigne that joined Eugenie and Jack to mark their milestone day.

Since tying the knot in 2018, the couple has welcomed their first child – a son called August Philip, with the couple splitting their time between London and Portugal as Jack continues to work between both countries.

Following August’s birth in February 2021, Eugenie revealed that he had been able to meet his great grandfather Prince Philip shortly before the Duke passed away just two months later.

Revealing the sweet anecdote in a documentary honouring the late Duke’s life, Eugenie held back blossoming tears as she told the cameras: "We named August, August Philip because grandpa has been such a huge, inspiring character in my life.

"We were very lucky to do that."
