Vanessa Hudgens flashes huge diamond as she confirms engagement: ‘We couldn’t be happier’

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she's engaged to be married to professional baseball player Cole Tucker.

Rumours had been circulating about the pair taking the next step in their relationship and now the 34 year old Hollywood star has confirmed it.

Taking to her Instagram feed, Vanessa shared a photo of herself dressed in a black leather-looking coat with a fury collar as Cole, 26, wrapped his arms around her waist. Posing with her lips puckered for the camera, she held up one hand to show off her ring finger.

In a second photo, the star showed off the stunning and massive radiant cut diamond, which appeared to have a gold band.

The Eiffel Tower could be seen lit up in the background, indicating that Cole proposed in the romantic setting of Paris, France.

They captioned the post: "YES. We couldn’t be happier," followed by a white heart emoji.

Celebrity friends rushed to the comments section to share their delight over the news as Modern Family's Sarah Hyland wrote: "Couldn't be happier, Right here Look what we've got A fairy-tale plot, Our very own happy ending," followed by musical notes.

The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev posted three hearts emojis with exclamation points while Emily in Paris' Lily Collins said: "Ahhh congrats mama!!!!!!" followed by four heart eyes emojis.

"Love you guys," Ashley Benson shared, while Vanessa's sister Stella added: "WE LOVE TO SEE IT," with four clapping hands emojis.

Vanessa and Cole are thought to have first got together in early 2021 as The Princess Switch star posted their first photo together on Instagram on Valentine's Day of that year.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight back then, Vanessa, who recently looked unrecognisable with bleached eyebrows and blonde hair, revealed how she and Cole first met as she said: "Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes."

She continued: "He's just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy] – I really am.

"I think that it's also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I've been making that a priority, and I feel like it's just been making magic happen all the more."

The baseball player later gushed over his feelings towards Vanessa as he said during an MLB spring training interview: "I got a girlfriend and she’s cool. She’s awesome, I love her."

He went on to share that he doesn't want to be treated differently just because he's dating Vanessa, before adding: "She’s great. She’ll be around. You will see her, but you saw the headline, it is what it is."

Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show in May the same year, Vanessa then confessed that she made the first move.

"If I want something or someone, I’m going after them," she shared. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there is no shame in making the first move."

Now, just two years later, the pair are set to tie the knot.
