The Blink 182 drummer, who previously claimed that he started getting tattoos when he was 15, is forced to hit back at an online hater suggesting that he will regret his body arts later.
AceShowbiz –Travis Barker clearly knows how to shut down haters. After an online user criticized his tattoos and called them “ridiculous,” the Blink-182 drummer did not waste time to fire back at the troll.
On Friday, December 3, the 46-year-old rocker took to Instagram to post two shirtless pictures of him showing off his tattoos on his head and body. One person then wrote in a since-deleted comment, “The tattoos really look ridiculous, Travis. When you get older, you are going to regret it.”
Having caught wind of the negative remark, the musician hit back, “When I’m older I’m probably gonna hang out with other bada** tattooed dudes and generally look awesome.” He went on to ask, “What are you gonna do when you just look like every other old person?”
The harsh comment might be nothing for Travis though since many complimented his ink collection. Among them was TikTok star Dustin Tyler who gushed, “Every tattoo is a time stamp, love it,” to which the father of two replied with an infinity emoji.
Travis once told GQ in 2016 that he started getting tattoos when he was 15. He also noted that “70 percent of my body” has been covered in various pieces. He further shared, “Well I have to take into account the one’s I lost in the [plane] accident. There’s still pieces of tattoos everywhere. But for the most part I lost everything on my legs besides my tributes for Lil Chris and Che and my tribute for [DJ AM].”
The fiance of Kourtney Kardashian also elaborated his philosophy when getting tattoos. “For me it’s documenting part of my life or people, things, times in my life. When I’m dead and gone I want people to be able to look at my body and basically relive my life in some ways,” he detailed.
