This Morning makes awkward Mark Wright home blunder: ‘That’s not my hallway!’

Former TOWIE star Mark Wright was caught up in an awkward on-air blunder as he appeared on Tuesday's episode of This Morning.

Mark, 36, and wife Michelle Keegan, 35, have been busy renovating their palatial Essex property into their dream home since 2020, and they've been keeping fans updated on its progress via a dedicated home Instagram account, named @wrightyhome.

One Tuesday, Mark talked to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the renovation process when a clip showing photos from inside the house flashed on screen.

As a photo of Mark's gorgeous house covered in snow appeared on screen, the two hosts started asking about the renovation process.

"It looks like a Christmas card," Holly said.

However, when the photo changed to a hallway with double staircase and a table in the middle, Mark quickly reacted to the blunder.

"That's not my hallway by the way. I've only got one staircase, just so you know," Mark said.

Holly then joked: "Just a random hallway, Google Images hallway."

He continued: "It's a picture that I posted on Instagram, so that's the confusement."

He went on to say: "It's basically all done. There's a few snagging bits of doing. I've got to finish the garden. But it's been a very very stressful time.

"But at the same time, really fun and, yeah, lovely."

When asked by Philip if he would ever renovate a house again, Mark replied: "I say no, but when I've sat down in here before we started you both said you will, and look who knows. My dad was in charge of the building, so if I ever did it again, I know that I've got him. He's there.

"It's very important to have someone who's got your best interest at heart."

TV personality Mark and Our Girl actress Michelle purchased the property for around £1.3million in 2020, however, it's undergone a serious upgrade, complete with high-tech features including security that now make it worth an estimated £3.5million.

The property is said to boast five bedrooms, three dressing rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, in-house spa and sauna, an outdoor pool and even a pool house.

Much of the furniture and decor in the home is in keeping with their own personal sense of style, with Mark and Michelle opting for a a neutral colour palette throughout the property.

The couple recently shared some snaps of the interior of the home, showing off the minimalist furniture. Sharing the photos to Instagram, they wrote: "Here we go as promised, some interiors.

"We wanted to use a company that could supply the majority of stuff, allowing us to get everything through the same company for ease reasons."

Mark previously revealed the lengths he will go to in order to protect his new home – including banning guests from wearing shoes inside.

Showing off the pristine white carpets last year, Mark said: "The colour is revealed… and this is why if you come to this house you will never be wearing shoes, or socks, you'll be washing your feet.

"Basically pure white with a little hint of cream, and the best thing about this, this is eco-friendly, recycled from the ocean. Absolutely beautiful, over the moon."
