Fans of The Masked Singer think they may have evidence that Stacey Solomon is Sausage.

Ahead of Saturday's show, some viewers believe they have stumbled upon a telltale clue that really lets the cat out of the bag.

Stacey, 31, has been a long-term guess to be the star in the Sausage costume since the popular programme returned last last year.

Other suggestions include Rebecca Ferguson and stage star Sheridan Smith.

This weekend will see two celebs unmasked – and many hope to finally find out the identity of Sausage.

One fan believes she has stumbled onto something big.

A TikTok user filmed an advert promoting Saturday's episode, in which Alan Carr appears as a guest judge.

As the various figures flash on the screen, smash hit song That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings plays in the background.

Then as the lyric "….they call me Stacey…" is sung, the colourful Sausage appears on screen.

  • Fans are shocked as Bush Baby is unmasked as John Thomson in The Masked Singer

The user writes over the video: "IT SAYS STACEY ON SAUSAGE!!! Is that a clueee". [sic]

That is enough to convince many that the former X Factor star is inside the costume.

The clues have been that she is female, has a "strong connection to the beach and the coast" and is a girly girl who "loves a bit of glam".

Sausage has so far belted out Skin by Rag'N'Bone Man, as well as And I am Telling You I'm Not Going from West end show, Dreamgirls.

Other guesses include actress Billie Piper and singer Joss Stone.

The contestant's two lies and a truth was: her hair colour is certified by law; someone told her she looks like a pop star and sounds like a pop star; she owes her career to a horse.

Stacey's Loose Women panelists previously discussed the rumour that she is Sausage.

Regular Coleen Nolan said: "I think it definitely sounds like Stacey. There’s elements of it. And she loves sausage and chips."

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday at 7pm on ITV
