Richard Madeley has hinted he's set to take part in the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as he's taking a break from Good Morning Britain.
The 65 year old, who was recently slammed for making a "sexist" remark by calling a guest "darling", told co-host Susanna Reid, 50, that today, Wednesday 3 November, would be his final show until after Christmas – leading many to believe he's headed down to Wales.
"Now I've got places to go and people to see and things to eat… Interesting things to eat," Richard told Susanna and viewers.
Clearly taking the bait, Susanna immediately asked him where he was going, to which Richard responded: "I'll be back very soon after Christmas. This is my last show for a while."
Teasing fans over rumours that he's going to Gwrych Castle to take on the Bushtucker trials, Susanna then asked: "How do we say goodbye in Welsh?"
"I was going to ask you that," Richard replied.
Susanna, who recently apologised to a GMB guest after the show failed to show her professor title, then said: "Oh, I don't know but I am sure you'll find out in the next couple of weeks," before adding: "Good Morning Britain back tomorrow from six, now it is time for Lorraine."
Fans were quick to flock to Twitter as many believed he had confirmed his place in the line-up for the upcoming show, which will see Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reprise their roles as presenters.
"So Richard Madeley just confirmed himself for #ImACeleb on #gmb I see!" one wrote with a flag of Wales emoji, a castle emoji and a bug emoji.
Another said: "Hmmm… he said he was off until after Xmas to ‘eat some weird things’ so I reckon it’s him! He wouldn’t need to be off for so long just to support I don’t think!"
While a third added: "I do hope Richard Madeley is on #ImACeleb this year. Can you imagine," alongside five rolling with laughter emojis.

Richard has been dropping hints about his potential involvement in I'm A Celeb for weeks.
Most recently, he expertly dodged the question after listening to co-host Kate Garraway, who came fourth in the show in 2019, press him about speculation he would appear on the series this year.
"I called ITV head office about this, and they said, first of all, Richard, if asked if you're going to the castle, talk about the weather," Richard said.

He jokingly continued: "And it's remarkably mild weather we're having for the time of year!"
Kate cheekily quipped: "Oh, is that because you're thinking about the weather in the castle?"
Richard responded: "Well, they said if there are supplementary questions like that, to say that you 'may say that but couldn't possibly comment' or 'I can neither confirm nor deny.'"
