Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe Reunited for a Rare Picture for Their Son Deacon's 18th Birthday

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe hung out this week and even posed for some rare pictures together in honor of a very special occasion—their son, Deacon’s, 18th birthday.

“Happy 18th birthday to our gorgeous, smart, talented, and caring son,” Ryan captioned a post on Saturday that included three pics of himself, Reese, and Deacon posing together at what appeared to be a birthday dinner. “You are a true light in this world and are so loved by all who know you. We are lucky to be your mom and dad. Love you, pup..(I’d say we did pretty good @reesewitherspoon).”

Reese also paid tribute to her now-officially-an-adult son on Instagram, sharing a gallery of pictures of Deacon (including a *very* adorable one of the two of them together).

Reese and Ryan weren’t the only ones who celebrated Deacon on IG for his birthday. His older sister/Reese’s mini-me, Ava Phillippe, also posted a tribute for the birthday boy.

“happy happy birthday @deaconphillippe !! ❤️ I cannot believe the first baby I ever held is now 18 years old…,” Ava wrote, alongside a photo of Deacon looking more like Ryan than he maybe ever has. “D, you’re simply the best. Funny, loyal, intelligent, genuine, kind, passionate, creative…and the list goes on. You light up rooms and always look for the best in people. Watching you grow into who you’re meant to be is such a joy, and I’m eternally grateful to be your big sister. I love you oh so much, welcome to “adulthood”!! 🎉 1️⃣8️⃣.”

And, finally, Deacon marked his own special day with an IG grid post that included, among other pics, one of the snaps of him and his parents celebrating as a family:

On his Instagram Story, Deacon shared the picture again with a caption that summed up just how much he loves his family dynamic.

“And I still live with my parents,” he wrote. “No, they’re not like yours.”

Happy birthday, Deacon!
