Rebekah Vardy looks relaxed as she shows off toned abs in bikini on family holiday

Rebekah Vardy appears to have shrugged off the Wagatha Christie controversy as she shared a snap of her toned abs after jetting off for a family getaway.

Posing for a mirror selfie, which she then shared to her Instagram story, the mum-of-five, 40, wowed in a two piece patterned bikini.

Captioning the photo, she tagged the bikini designer, writing: "@lulifamaswimwear kind of day" followed by a heart emoji.

She paired the stylish swimwear with an open white blouse and a pair of oversized sunglasses. Keeping her look casual, Rebekah tied her back in a messy bun and opted for minimal accessories, wearing just a watch and a couple of bracelets.

Although she's posted a number of holiday snaps on her Instagram story and page, Rebekah has not revealed where she, and her family, have jetted off to.

The family holiday comes after Rebekah revealed that her world-famous libel case which saw her lose against Coleen Rooney has "ruined her life" and left her children facing bullies.

In a two-part documentary Vardy vs Rooney: The Wagatha Trial, she discussed the impact the case has had on her family, saying: “Social media is the root of all evil. At that point [during the trial], it ruined my life. My kids were being bullied.

"I found it really difficult. I was scared to leave the house. I had paparazzi parked outside my house that would follow me, turn their car around and drive at me down the same side of the road as me.

"I remember one journalist saying, ‘I won’t leave her alone until I’ve got the picture I want.’ That’s not OK."

Since the ending of the trial, Channel 4 have announced a drama based on the events, which have become known as the 'Wagatha Christie' trial.

The series will see This Is England actress Chanel Cresswell as Coleen Rooney and Harry Potter star Natalia Tena as Rebekah.

Michael Sheen, known for his portrayals of real-life figures such as Sir Tony Blair and broadcaster David Frost, will appear as Rooney’s barrister David Sherborne.

Vardy’s barrister, Hugh Tomlinson, will be portrayed by Simon Coury, best known for appearing in The Professor And The Madman.

Wayne Rooney will be played by Dion Lloyd and Jamie Vardy will be played by Marci Nagyszokolyai.

The show has been created from the court transcripts and will air later this year.
