Princess Beatrice joins Swedish royals for World Dyslexia Assembly in New York
Princess Beatrice rubbed shoulders with Swedish royalty as she once again turned out to support the World Dyslexia Assembly.
The 34-year-oldroyal, eldest daughter ofPrince Andrew andSarah Ferguson, has long been a champion of people with dyslexia – having been diagnosed with the learning difficulty at a young age.
She joined Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden for Made By Dyslexia’s World Dyslexia Assembly – which was held at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Centre, New York City on Monday.
The aim of the event was to “celebrate the limitless power of Dyslexic Thinking, one of the world’s most valuable skills”.
Speakers on the night – including spies, space scientists and sports stars – explained how their Dyslexic Thinking helped them to achieve remarkable things in their fields.
Beatrice showed her support as the World Dyslexia Assembly was launched last year in partnership with Carl Philip and Sofia’s The Prince Couple’s Foundation – which they set up to support children in care and educational settings.
Prince Carl Philip has previously shared that he is also dyslexic.
The Swedish couple’s official Instagram page shared a photograph of the pair alongside Beatrice at Monday’s event in New York.
A caption on the picture read: “It feels great to once again have a joint commitment with Princess Beatrice to highlight the power of Dyslexic Thinking.”
Beatrice stepped out for the event dressed in an outfit she has worn before – the £795 "Ahana" navy dress from Beulah London.
The definition says: "Our best-selling Ahana has been crafted in a beautiful rich navy, with a longer sleeve length appropriate for colder months.
"This dress is an elegant choice for any season. It is crafted from RWS-certified wool crepe and shaped to a fit and flare silhouette with an updated classic collar and sweeping skirt that's belted at the waist for a figure-defining fit. Note the charming button-front offering a classic look.”
It was the second time in a week that Beatrice has recycled an outfit after shere-wore one of her favourite dresses for a celeb-packed launch event with the theme of ‘pre-loved elegance’.
She donned her favoured long navy dress from The Vampire’s Wife as she stepped out to mark theopening of the BBC Earth Experience, a new interactive attraction that explores the natural world across seven continents.
Beatrice joined the likes ofSir David Attenborough,Nick Knowles and severalStrictly Come Dancing pros at the launch event.
She had previously worn The Vampire’s Wife’s Corduroy Festival Dress, which also retails for £795, for thePlatinum Party At The Palace which she attended last summer with the rest of the Royal Family.
Beatrice has also worn similarly designed dresses on many occasions. At Wimbledon last summer, she donned a ruffled white and pink floral dress from The Vampire's Wife alongside husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
