Journalist Piers Morgan has claimed he hasn’t tuned into the Strictly final “in years” but said he found tonight’s episode nauseating. Taking to Twitter, the controversial ex-GMB host shared his thoughts on the BBC show.
During the final, Piers tweeted out to his 7.9 million followers: “Tuned into #Strictly for the first time in years and everyone’s crying because everyone’s so perfect.
“Sorry, but [vomit emoji],” he added.
Tonight nearly all the finalists have shed a tear as they said goodbye to the Strictly ballroom.
The judges have also gotten emotional over the moving dances performed by both couples: Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.
Most of Piers’ followers weren’t impressed with his takeaway, with Mandy Palmer writing: “Perhaps if you had paid a bit more attention you will see how the programme has educated people on disability and sexuality isn’t it nice in these troubled times to actually have something that is so beautiful!”
“The entire series has been a shining example of joy, togetherness and humanity. Everything that you don’t represent,” added Nicola Grant.
