PRINCE Philip, husband and consort to Queen Elizabeth II, passed away at the age of 99 on April 9, 2021. The Duke of Edinburgh was…
Thanks to a particular raunchy round of ‘Never Have I Ever’ on The Ellen DeGeneras Show, ANOTHER secret hook-up between one of the Spice Girls and a high profile hearthrob has been unearthed.
Step forward Just Timberlake.
During an appearance on the show with his NSYNC bandmates, Justin and the boys were asked if they’d ever hooked up with a Spice Girl.
While the rest of boys quickly turned their paddles to ‘I have never,’ Justin could clearly be seen weighing up his options.
He then nervously confessed he had indeed got close with one of the Spices – much to the delight of the audience and Ellen.
So just who did Justin get together with? We take a look back at some of the Spice Girls’ most scandalous rumoured hook-ups.
While Emma is now happily engaged to former Damage singer Jade Jones , she was rumoured to have enjoyed her freedom during a few brief splits in their 20 year romance.
Despite what his horrified reaction might say, Justin’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneras Show isn’t the first time he’s been romantically linked to Baby Spice.
Addressing rumours she’d enjoyed a fling with J.T. back when they were both single, Emma suddenly went all coy and bashful during a 2016 interview with Grazia magazine.
"I’m going to have to say no comment," she mysteriously replied when quizzed on the speculation.
Though Victoria Beckham almost dropped her in it after once revealing how she, Emma and the rest of the girls had met NSYNC at the peak of their careers.
"We were sitting there, in an airport, five girls altogether, and then some guy comes up and he says, "Hey I’m in a band, I got my friends, can we come and sing for you?"
‘They stood there and they could sing. And it was NSYNC and that was Justin Timberlake. But they shut us up because they were good," she said.
Justin is now married to Hollywood actress Jessica Beil, 36, with whom he shares three-year-old son Silas.
In a case of two 90s legends coming together at once, Emma and Live and Kicking host Jamie were spotted enjoying a ‘tight embrace’ back in 2002.
The pair were said to have kissed and cuddled, in pics obtained by The Sun, with an onlooker saying they ‘looked much more than friends.’
Geri finally found her happy ending when she tied the knot with Formula One team boss Christian Horner in 2015.
But ever since she squeezed Prince Charles’ bum in full view of the paps, Geri was always known for her daring side – which has been well reflected in her varied dating history.
It was a case of 2 Become 1 for two of Britain’s best-loved gingers -albeit very briefly – in 1999.
Their loved-up displays graced many a showbiz bash that year, but the whirlwind romance ended almost as quickly as it began when Chris moved on with Billie Piper.
When later asked if the romance had been nothing but a publicity stunt, Geri said: “It was as authentic as relationships go, in my shabby experience of relationships.”
A Take That member dating a Spice Girl was a match made in tabloid heaven.
And the pair caused a riot at the Brit Awards in 2001, when Geri handed Robbie an award while telling the crowd: “According to press reports, he has been giving me one, so now it’s my turn to give him one.”
For a brief time Geri appeared settled with Robbie – presumably bonding over decisions to quit their respective groups at the height of their fame.
Robbie later boasted he’d bedded ‘four of five Spice Girls’ – but was later forced to retract this to three after numerous complaints.
Fast forward two years and Geri moved on to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Despite their unlikely romance, she joked on a chat show they could be ‘the new Fred and Ginger.’
After splitting with the father of her daughter Bluebell, screen writer Sacha Gervasi, Geri got back on the dating scene and enjoyed a fling with Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams in 2007.
But their blossoming romance lasted just six weeks.
The fiesty singer tried her hand at taming Russell Brand in 2012.
The yoga-loving pair reportedly dated for a few months after meeting at the Olympics 2012 Closing Ceremony.
Afterwards the pair had performed Russell joked: "I’ve got a crush on Geri Halliwell — everything in the world is how it should be."
Sporty Spice laughed off ‘gay rumours’ when the Spice Girls first burst onto the scene, but ended up dating some seriously high profile bachelors as their success rocketed.
As well as links to Robbie Williams, like her former bandmate Geri, Mel was also linked to the Liverpool football star.
Mel enjoyed a brief fling with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman back in September 1998.
While she’s currently in the midst of a bitter divorce battle with estranged husband Stephen Belafonte , Mel B’s love life has always been a rocky ride.
After splitting with Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar, with whom she shares daughter Phoenix Chi, Mel coupled up with fellow northerner Max.
They dated happily for three years – although Max claimed the relationship nearly ruined his career.
Mel fell head over heels for the Hollywood actor in 2006. But things quickly turned sour when he called things off when she was five months pregnant – and then demanded a paternity test.
An outraged Mel then hit back in a statment: “I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media. There is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father.”
She didn’t pine after the Beverley Hills Cop star for too long though, when she met producer Stephen Belfatone – who she later married and had a third child, Madison, with.
She might have bagged one of the most eligible men in the world, but Victoria has admitted before meeting Manchester United player David Beckham she wasn’t exactly fighting the men off it.
“There was a stage where someone wrote once how every woman wanted to be one of us and every man wanted to date one of us. Not that anyone wanted to date me. I think everyone wanted to sort of like just brush my hair," Victoria once joked.
But despite her rough start, Victoria’s had the last laugh as she prepares to celebrate her twentieth wedding anniversary to David next year.
David previously said: “People can say what they like. But me and Victoria will
always stay together as husband and wife.”
