Megan Fox’s ex-lawyer says that he’s not responsible for her “nightmare” mansion.
Fox sued the attorney, Joseph D’Onofrio, as well as Cynthia Pette-Dante — a manager who was part of the seller’s group — over her purchase of a Malibu house that turned into anything but a happy home, according to The Blast.
Fox claimed in her suit that Pett-Dante convinced her to purchase the $3.2 million estate without disclosing any major issues. The actress said that she was “a 29-year-old pregnant working mother” with two young boys at the time and believed that she was providing “a paradise in bucolic Malibu” for her family.
But she alleged that “the property has been a nightmarish living hell for [Fox] and her family because all of the individuals involved in the transaction” didn’t tell her about the problems in the house, such as serious mold issues in multiple rooms.
Now, 32-year-old Fox wants $5 million for her suffering, but D’Onofrio and his firm aren’t willing to pay up. They have now filed their own papers, claiming that Fox’s problems are her own fault.
A judge has yet to rule in the case.
