Love Island winners Dani and Jack swig bubbly on flight as finalists head home

After having spend the last few weeks keeping us entertained with their villa antics, the Love Island finalists were met with a roaring reception as they returned home on Wednesday.

As they headed through the Stansted Airport arrivals, winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer beamed with joy as they greeted the cameras.

The stars, who scooped the £50,000 cash prize and a whopping 80% of the final vote, touched down after swigging champagne on the four-hour flight home.

The happy couple kissed as they cheersed each other onboard their flight, surrounded by their fellow finalists.

And they couldn’t wipe the grins off their faces as they walked down the plane steps followed by a camera crew – no doubt filming their return home for Sunday’s Love Island: The Reunion show.

Dani, wearing a white, red and blue patterned playsuit and tan heels, clutched Jack’s hand as she walked out of the plane first.

Jack opted for more clothes than we’ve seen him in over the last eight weeks, pairing trainers with grey shorts, a matching t-shirt and a pink cap.

Runners-up Laura Anderson and Paul Knops looked equally delighted to be on UK soil, where they will no doubt be mobbed by friends and family.

Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley and Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson were also treated to their first taste of fame as eager fans waited inside the arrivals section to take pictures.

Following weeks of intense sunbathing, bitching and ‘doing bits’ the islanders appeared to be revelling in their new found freedom.

And the gang were looking especially perky, considering they flew out of Palma de Mallorca Airport mere hours after the show’s boozy after-party.

After being crowned the peoples champs on Monday night, Jack and Dani happily posed up for pictures.

Dani was dressed in a floral playsuit and proving she’d lost none of her villa glamour – accessorised with some towering heels.

‘Muggy’ Megan Barton Hanson was looking equally summery as she flaunted her tan in a bright orange vest top and ripped denim skirt.

Runner-up Laura was also dressed to impressed in a thigh-skimming striped dress, but shielded herself from the British weather in an eye-popping yellow jacket.

While partner Jack was still in holiday mode as he showed up in his shorts and t-shirt.

In last night’s fun-packed finale, viewers saw Jack and Dani storm to victory – before deciding to share the £50,000 prize fund.

While Laura proved she wasn’t so unlucky-in-love afterall by coming in second place with handsome Paul.

In third place were Kaz and Josh with Megan and Wes finishing fourth.
