Line of Duty's Martin Compston is 'all good' after terrifying taxi crash

‘It smashed into where he was sitting. Martin’s door was bashed in. It was probably doing 10mph but it was so big it destroyed the cab.’

It was claimed the two drivers swapped details following the accident.

Martin recently made headlines after opening up about the finale of Line of Duty – which is airing on Sunday night.

During an appearance on BBC Breakfast, he refused to be drawn on spoilers, but did reveal a few fans on social media had got their theories ‘spot on’.

‘The theories have been great! One of my favourite things is afterwards, you get all these wild theories but some of them are spot on,’ he said.

‘I mean, very few of them, but it’s funny because you can’t like or favourite it on Twitter, because it would give it away. ‘But you kind of want to tell them, “You’ve figured it out”.’

One theory rests on the apparent misspelling of the word ‘definitely’, with some fans adamant it was a clue as to H’s real identity, while others were convinced it was just a typo.

While the actor made sure he didn’t spill any secrets, he insisted writer Jed Mercurio doesn’t make mistakes.

‘I saw some people the first time saying, “I can’t believe they got that wrong, that’s a mistake”,’ he continued.

‘There’s no mistakes with [writer] Jed Mercurio. He’s got every single thing thought through.’

So, that’s that then…

Line of Duty concludes on Sunday, at 9pm, on BBC One.
