Kate Middleton has revealed she's yet to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet via FaceTime.

The mum-of-three, who has a gorgeous secret cottage in Scotland with Prince William, was quizzed by a reporter at a G7 press conference at a school event.

An American journalist asked The Duchess of Cambridge: "Have you FaceTimed with her?"

She simply responded: "No, I haven't."

The 39 year old also sent her best wishes to the new family-of-four who live in California.

"I wish her all the very best. I can't wait to meet her because we haven't met her yet, so hopefully that will be soon," she added.

Kate's words came as she visited a school in Cornwall with US First Lady Dr Jill Biden for the G7 summit. Kate has long been interested in children's causes while President Joe Biden's wife Jill is still a working teacher.

Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, welcomed their baby girl on 4 June and paid tribute to both the Queen and Princess Diana with their little girl's name.

The Duchess of Sussex gave birth to Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, at 11.40am, weighing 7lb 11oz.

Harry and Meghan have been at loggerheads with the rest of the Royal family since they announced their decision to step down as senior members.

Meghan reportedly previously attempted to reach out to Kate in an effort to help patch up the feud after fears she could lose her royal title.

A source told Heat Magazine Meghan initially “underestimated” the Duchess of Cambridge’s influence within the royal household and has since made several attempts to mend their broken relationship.

The insider claimed: “Meghan’s fearful of losing her title, and the repercussions of Harry’s statements about the Royals in his recent Apple TV+ documentary with Oprah Winfrey.

“She’s secretly reached out to Kate, as she knows that the only hope they can have of smoothing things over with the family is to get Kate on their side.”

However, it is thought that Kate wants to stay out of the family troubles, despite hoping her husband Prince William will one day reconcile with his brother.

The source added: "Kate would rather stay out of any ‘secret talks’, as she fears anything she says could be used against her.

“But she wants peace and civility, especially seeing how much pain this has caused William, Charles and the Queen. “Her only words of wisdom for Meghan and Harry are to stop once and for all with the public outbursts.”
