Jenna Dewan makes first public outing since split from Channing Tatum
Newly single Jenna Dewan stepped out for a good cause in her first public appearance since her split from Channing Tatum.
Dewan, 37, attended the St. Jude Hope & Heritage Gala in Manhattan on Friday night where she was honored with the Humanitarian Award.
Proudly sharing her award on Instagram, the “World of Dance” star wrote, “Thank you @stjude for this incredible honor! I am so proud of everything you do and continue to do for children.”
Since the news broke of the couple’s split, Dewan has maintained her presence on social media — dropping Tatum from all of her accounts — to include posting a fun lingerie pic this week.
After nearly nine years together, the couple announced their separation earlier this month in a joint statement saying they are “taking different paths.”
A source later told Page Six that their hectic work schedule and long distance relationship made a marriage difficult.
“Channing has been working non-stop, with four movies announced for 2018 alone. It is hard on a marriage to be apart so much, especially when you have a young child. Plus Jenna is in pre-production for the movie, ‘Berlin I Love You,’” the source said.
They are parents to four-year-old Everly.
