Just six months after “The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai announced she and her husband of 10 years, Freddy Harteis, were divorcing, he’s expecting a baby with another woman.
According to a since-deleted Instagram, first reported by The Jasmine Brand, Harteis is over the moon about the new addition with girlfriend Linsey Toole.
“If you’ve seen me in the last six months you have seen me not able to swipe a crazy grin off my face because of a beautiful woman who captured my heart,” he captioned a snapshot holding the baby book, “I Love You Daddy.”
“And in the last four months, I have been walking on the clouds because of the thought of us having a miracle of our own and yesterday, my heart about burst out of my chest when we found out our precious child, would be our precious daughter,” he added. “I cannot wait to hold and kiss my sweet girl, she will be crazy beautiful like her mama. Inside and out!”
The baby news doesn’t come as a complete shock, as Mai told fans that she and Harteis had a difference of opinion when it came to children.
“Before we got married, I was very clear about the fact that I probably would not have kids, just because I’ve never felt that,” she said on the show in 2014. “And now, getting older, he definitely seems like he wants kids, and he actually came out and said that he wants children.”
Mai and Harteis called it quits in October. At the time of the split, Mai denied any cheating rumors and said nothing but positive things about him, including, “he’s the best man I know.”
While Harteis celebrates a baby, Mai is celebrating her new Emmy for outstanding entertainment talk show host.
