Jane Fonda has revealed she’s ‘closed up shop down there’.
The Oscar-winning actress, 80, said she’s no longer dating as she promoted her latest film, Book Club.
She told Extra: “I’m not dating anymore, but I did up until a couple of years ago.”
She went on: “I’m 80. I’ve closed up shop down there.”
Speaking about the film, which follows four lifelong friends who experience a sexual reawakening after reading 50 Shades of Grey, Jane said: “It’s about very important things — friendship and sex — and that it’s OK for older women to have both.”
The Bill Holderman-directed movie also stars Diane Keaton and Candice Bergen.
Meanwhile, Jane was recently asked if she had ever had plastic surgery during a live TV interview – and it didn’t go down well.
Late last year, NBC TODAY show host Megyn Kelly was joined by Jane and her Our Souls at Night co-star Robert Redford for a live interview.
“You’ve been an example to everyone in how to age beautifully and with strength and unapologetically. You admit you’ve had work done, which I think is to your credit. But you look amazing,” the host told the Barbarella actress.
“I read that you said you’re not proud to admit you’ve had work done. Why not?”
After a short pause, Jane snapped back: “We really want to talk about that right now?”
Making the situation a little less awkward, former Fox News star Megyn quickly responded, “One of the things people think about you when they look at you is how amazing you look.”
Jane then briefly answered the question: "Good attitude, good posture…" before quickly changing the subject back to the new movie.
“But let me tell you why I love this movie that we did, Our Souls at Night, rather than plastic surgery,” she continued.
It wasn’t long before it had created a buzz on social media, with US actress Sarah Michelle Gellar writing: "So how come @megynkelly didn’t ask @RobertRedford if he had any plastic surgery?
"Way to stay composed @janefonda #doublestandard."
