Jamie Redknapp’s new wife Frida Andersson wasted no time in updating her social media accounts with her marital name after they tied the knot.
The couple, who are expecting their first child together, are believed to have married at Chelsea Registry Office in London on Monday after more than a year of dating.
It seems almost immediately after walking down the aisle, Frida made her first big change since becoming a married woman by changing her Instagram handle from Andersson to Redknapp. However, she still kept her maiden name in her bio.
The newlyweds were pictured arriving at the registry office with bride Frida, 37, wearing a stunning off-shoulder white dress showcasing her growing bump, while former footballer Jamie, 48, donned a navy suit with white shirt and black tie.
They held hands as they walked in and were joined by Jamie’s parents, Harry and Sandra Redknapp, while his sons Charley, 17, and Beau, 12, who he shares with ex-wife Louise Redknapp, were also said to be in attendance.
Hours later, they were spotted at Scott’s in Mayfair where they hosted their wedding reception with close friends and family.
Frida confirmed she was expecting her first child with the retired footballer in May, by responding to congratulatory messages on her Instagram account.
One follower wrote: ‘Lovely news on your new baby. Congratulations to you both,’ to which she responded with prayer hand emoji.
She also left the same comment to another follower who said: ‘Congratulations on your new baby.’
At the time, the model was said to be three months pregnant and due to give birth in November.
It was later revealed that the couple were expecting a baby boy, with an insider telling The Sun: ‘Jamie and Frida were thrilled to learn they are expecting a boy. They’ve told their children and families.
‘Everyone just wants the little lad to arrive now. And just in time for Christmas… it couldn’t be more perfect.’
