James 'Arg' Argent has revealed he's already lost weight since getting gastric sleeve surgery following his 27 stone weight gain over the lockdown period.
The 33 year old, who recently recovered from the operation with a boys' holiday, appeared on Loose Women on 27 April to speak out about the experience and confessed he's beginning to "recognise himself in the mirror again".
"I'm going on long walks, I'm feeling happier, I'm feeling healthier," he explained as he spoke from his back garden.
"I'm starting to feel like my old self again and I think that I definitely made the right decision and this is really going to be a positive new chapter for me. I'm buzzing."

Panellist Ruth Langsford then asked: "You just said there, you're losing weight already. So it's only two and a half weeks on, how much weight do you think you've lost?"
James, whose ex Gemma Collins recently recalled his addiction and said it "broke her heart", replied: "So since I started the pre-op diet, just before the surgery, as of today I've lost already two and a half stone."
He continued: "It's a great start, I'm absolutely over the moon with that. I'm starting to recognise myself in the mirror again. The confidence is starting to come back. My looks are coming back."

The former TOWIE star went on to explain that he's so glad he went ahead with the surgery, but confessed the recovery "has been pretty hard".
"There are some days that are tougher than others. Initially, after the operation obviously you're coming off the anaesthetic and it's a shock to the system for a couple of days, " he said.
"But gradually, each day gets easier and easier. The only battle, I suppose, is mentally – I've been on nothing but liquids for two weeks. I'm onto the third week now. I've slowly moved on to mushy food, like baby food.

"It's difficult, because I don't really have any cravings at all for fast food or takeaways, I'd appreciate just to have a chicken salad or a bit of fish and rice or something."
James said that he's only got two weeks of eating soft foods before he can move onto solids.
The reality star recently shared a snap of himself smiling from his hospital bed following the surgery and opened up on his experience in a recent Instagram post.

He added: “The next few months are going to be tough but I’m determined to reclaim my life! NEW CHAPTER.”
