Inside Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s romantic cliffside proposal – complete with thousands of roses
They met on primetime telly, as contestants looking for their happy ending on ITV's Love Island.
And as Tommy Fury proposed to a tearfully overjoyed Molly Mae Hague on Sunday, he made sure the lavish scene was the perfect Hollywood ending to their love story.
Surrounded by thousands of roses, beside a clifftop on a family holiday, the boxer held the couple's baby daughter Bambi gently in his arms as he asked Molly Mae to become his wife.
Both Molly Mae and Tommy jointly shared cinematic-style footage of the luxe scene, shot in black and white, to their Instagram labelled 'Forever' and with today's date.
Tommy looked as smart as could be in a black suit, while a clearly delighted Molly Mae held a hand to her face in shock while walking towards him. The smiling influencer then took Bambi in her arms as Tommy got to one knee and opened a ring box.
A placard beside him read 'You are my forever and always'.
Molly Mae stood smiling and overcome, nodding as she accepted his offer of marriage, while Bambi played with her face.
While the romantic moment was clearly a surprise to her, someone in the new mum's camp had clearly known what was coming – with Molly Mae dressed in the perfect proposal outfit of a white jumpsuit. For the big event she wore her wavy blonde hair in a half up half down style, while Bambi was in a pretty white dress.
The footage was set to the song The Vow by RuthAnne.
Molly-Mae's 7.5 million followers, celebrity pals and her former Love Island co-stars were quick to react.
Maura Higgins wrote: "BALLING AGAIN!!!!!!!!! ILYSM CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO" with heart emojis.
Molly-Mae's manager and BFF, Francesca Britton, wrote: "Oh my goodness I’m off again, the best news congratulations. Love you all" with heart emojis.
While Love Island host, Maya Jama, put: "WE LOVE TO SEE IT! Congratulations you cuteys."
The two 24-year-olds fell hard for one another after meeting on the 2019 season of Love Island.
With Tommy entering the show just hours after the original line-up, it was four days later that he met his match in bombshell Molly-Mae.
Choosing Tommy to go on a first date with, the two hit things off straight away and chose to get together in the series’ first recoupling.
Throughout the show, the pair’s relationship brought viewers plenty of rom-com-worthy highlights, including in Casa Amor when Tommy refused to share a bed with a person who wasn’t Molly-Mae and instead slept outside with her cuddly toy Ellie Belly. Her daughter Bambi now has a matching toy called Belly Ellie.
Bambi was born this year on January 23, and the family of three live in a lavish £4 million property in Cheshire with their two cats, Eggy and Bread.
