Donald Trump tweets Kanye West thanking him for support
Donald Trump has tweeted Kanye West thanking him for his support after the rapper fired off a string of complimentary tweets about the US President.
In a series of posts shared on Wednesday, Kanye, 40, praised the politician, called him his "brother", and said "the mob" could not make him "not love him".
He added: "For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don’t tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary I love Hillary too."
After seeing Kanye’s tweets, Trump responded, quoting the rapper’s tweet and replying: "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"
Afterwards, Kanye tweeted a picture of the president’s tweet.
He also shared a picture of his signed ‘Make America Great Again’ red cap.
Moments earlier he told his fans that wife Kim had called him to pull him up on his public Trump praising.
"My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself."
Kanye, who shocked the world when he turned up at Trump Tower for a meeting with Donald Trump the day after he was elected President, had explained why he loves the politician so much.
He tweeted: "You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone.
"I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."
