Singer Billie Eilish met the Royal Family at the premiere of the latest James Bond movie in London three weeks ago, after recording the No Time To Die theme song. And now, the Los Angeles-born star has opened up about the encounter during an appearance on American TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The 19-year-old was pictured meeting Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the star-studded event last month.

The Bad Guy singer told the show’s host that they were “just so normal” after meeting them during a celebrity line-up.

Billie said they were “very friendly and funny” and had lots of questions during their brief encounter.

The meeting came after Billie was given a list of guidelines to follow when coming face-to-face with the senior royals.

When asked about the rules, Billie said: “Oh, yeah. There was a whole list of things”.

“Did you pay attention to those rules?” Jimmy asked. “You did not, I have a feeling.”

The singer replied: “I tried to, I was planning on it. They were just so normal. They didn’t make me feel like, ‘oh, I’m scared, I can’t talk to them,’

“They were very complimentary and they had all these questions for me. They were just very friendly and funny and sweet. I can’t complain, it was amazing,” the teenager went on to add.

At the event, Billie was pictured shaking hands with Kate Middleton, 39, who stole the show in a glamorous gold gown and cape.

The pop star also chatted to her husband Prince William, 39.

Billie, who sported an all-black ensemble for the occasion, attended the event with brother Finneas O’Connell, who co-wrote the award-winning track.

The siblings were later seen talking to the Prince of Wales, 72, and Camilla, 74.

No Time To Die is Daniel Craig’s last outing as famous spy James Bond and was delayed several times over the past year because of a series of setbacks amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Because of this, Billie’s theme song was released ahead of schedule.

It came out in February 2020 and won a Grammy at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards in March this year, despite the fact that the film had not been released.

Billie is the youngest singer to record a Bond song.

Previous artists to record a song for the franchise include Adele, Shirley Bassey and Paul McCartney to name a few.

After the premiere Billie said: “Still pinching myself that I was involved in this film at all.

“@007 THE WAIT IS OVER!!”

Billie’s second studio album, Happier Than Ever, is out now.
