Chris Cornell‘s $20 million estate is now a point of contention among his former lovers.
The late musician’s widow and ex-wife are now battling over entitlements to his inheritance, The Blast reported.
According to court documents obtained by the publication, Vicky Cornell is requesting management of the estate. In her petition, she listed herself and the Cornell Family Trust as sole beneficiaries, but his ex-wife Susan Silver in insisting she is entitled to a share.
Silver, who was married to the rocker from 1990-2004, went to court with their 19 year old daughter Lillian, claiming they are owed child support payments following their 2004 split. She’s calling for accountants to calculate the exact percentage of their cut.
Vicky has publicly argued against Silver’s claims, but it was reported they are attempting to settle things privately.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Chris was found dead with an exercise band around his neck in his hotel room at the MGM Grand in Detroit on May 18, 2017.
An autopsy determined the cause of death was hanging by suicide.
Radar reported Chris was also discovered with four puncture wounds on his arm, which appeared to be from the treatment of a previous drug overdose.
A toxicology report later revealed Butalbital, lorazepam, pseudoephedrine, norpseudoephedrine, caffeine, and naloxone were found in the decedent’s blood, but it was said “these drugs did not contribute to the cause of death.”
