Is there anything Beyonce can’t do?
It’s a question we’re sure fans find themselves asking each time the 37-year-old hits the stage!
Her latest performance of Apes**t at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 on Sunday night made a solid case for our answer.
With the event celebrating the life and legacy of the South African leader and human rights activist Nelson Mandela, it also supported a campaign to end extreme poverty.
Queen Bey and husband JAY-Z headlined the festival, hosted by Trevor Noah, at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. Pharrell Williams, Kacey Musgraves, and other artists also performed, but everyone pretty much lost their collective minds when the powerhouse duo performed parts of their OTR II tour.
Fans were able to catch a solid 25 minutes of their set thanks to an online live stream, including Mrs. Carter’s INSANE rap skills!
See how she goes off in the clips captured on Twitter (below):
DAYUM! Complete with hyped up ad-libs from Mr. Carter, this performance is nothing short of memorable — just like the looks she served all evening, too:
The epic night continued with more standout moments from Blue Ivy‘s momma. She made every set of eyes watching well up in tears from her live rendition of Perfect with Ed Sheeran (below):
And you have to see when Bey performed an epic Zulu rendition of Halo, accompanied by a South African choir:
Seriously, one knockout performance after another. Ahead of the festival, Bey posted an open letter to Mandela on her website, sharing what his legacy and efforts mean to her. Fans stan a talented, gracious queen.
Perezcious readers, did y’all catch the live stream?? What did U think of Beyonce’s rap skills? Tell us!
