Jeffrey Foskett died aged 67 this Monday and the musician has been fondly remembered by Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson.<\/p>\n

Foskett has been friends with Wilson since the 1970s and has played with the band since the 1980s.<\/p>\n

He also debuted as a solo artist in 1996 with his album Thru My Window.<\/p>\n

He died after a battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer.<\/p>\n

Wilson has remembered the musician in a Facebook post, writing: “I\u2019m so heartbroken that my dear friend Jeff Foskett has passed.<\/p>\n

\u201cJeff was always there for me when we toured and we couldn\u2019t have done it without him.<\/p>\n

\u201cJeff was one of the most talented guys I ever knew. He was a great musical leader and guitarist and he could sing like an angel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI first met Jeff in 1976 when he knocked on my door in Bel Air and I invited him in, and we were friends ever since.<\/p>\n

His life has also been remembered by actor John Stamos, who has occasionally performed with the Beach Boys since 1985.<\/p>\n

In a series of Instagram posts, he remembered Foskett as \u201cmore than just a friend\u201d.<\/p>\n
