Iman Barlow, a double world champion Thai boxer and Stan Stannard, an international boxer, back home after thwarting the robbery

A British female kickboxer nicknamed ‘Pretty Killer’ beat up two Spanish robbers attacking a father on holiday with his children in Majorca.

The thieves turned up on a scooter in Palma Nova on the Balearic island on Saturday before stealing the tourist’s watch which was worth about £25,000.

But Thai boxing double world champion Iman Barlow and her soon-to-turn professional middleweight boxing boyfriend Stan Stannard watched the incident unfold as one of the robbers used his helmet to attack the victim.

The couple, from Melton, Leicestershire, both gave chase as one of the robbers ran away, with Miss Barlow, 26, kicking him in the chest and Mr Stannard, 23, giving him a left hook, knocking him to the floor before sitting on him.

The robber’s accomplice fared no better with the Brazlian Jiu Jitsu exponent son-in-law of the victim pinning him to the floor until police arrived.

Miss Barlow and Mr Stannard, from Leicestershire, watched the incident unfold in Majorca

Miss Barlow said: ‘We had just checked out of our hotel when one of the group said there was a fight going on about 50 metres away from where we were.

‘These two lads jumped off a scooter and while one held the man’s wrist the other took his watch off.

‘One of them was hitting the victim and others around him with his helmet. They ran off and as one went past me I kicked him in the chest to slow him down.

‘He carried on running and then a young girl shouted ‘he’s got my dad’s watch’.

‘So Stan ran after him and hit him with a left hand punch, knocking him to the floor.’

The couple were handed a €50 reward for their actions which they reluctantly accepted

They pinned the robber to the floor before an off-duty policeman turned up – and he was handed over to uniformed officers about ten minutes later.

Miss Barlow is currently in training for a bout in Melton, while Mr Stanson has his first professional bout in Grantham next month

The grateful family of the victim handed the pair and other members of Melton’s Assassins Muay Thai Boxing club there on the week-long holiday a €50 (£46) reward which they reluctantly accepted.

Miss Barlow added: ‘Afterwards you start thinking he could have had a knife or a gun but instinct just kicked in at the time.

‘The victim’s wife thanked us for what we had done and gave us €50 which we didn’t want to accept at first, but she refused to let us leave without it.

‘We used it to have burgers all round for lunch, which we were grateful for because we were about spent up after the holiday.

‘When I told my dad what had happened he loved it. He couldn’t believe it but he was happy that we got involved.

‘My training definitely helped me have the confidence to do something when the robbery was happening.’

Miss Barlow is currently in training for a bout at Melton’s Market Tavern on October 12. Mr Stanson has his first professional bout on September 21 at Grantham Leisure Centre.
