Meghan and Kate to put rift rumours to bed in girls’ day out to Wimbledon

Kensington Palace confirmed the pair’s landmark outing in an announcement this morning.

“The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and The Duchess of Sussex will attend the Ladies’ Singles Final at The Championships, Wimbledon on Saturday 13th July,” the Palace said.

It comes just days after Meghan took baby Archie out on his first public appearance as she and Kate took their children to Prince Harry and Prince William’s polo match.

The Duchess of Sussex kissed her eight-week-old baby boy as they joined Kate Middleton and her three children for a mums’ day out at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Surrey on Wednesday afternoon.

Meghan and Kate’s husbands were set to play against each other in the game in memory of Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a horror helicopter crash in October.

A smitten Meghan was pictured craddling her newborn tot in a field and kissing his forehead as a nearby Kate chased after a playful Louis, aged one, as he tried to chase after the horses.

Kate’s other children Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, four, were also snapped at the event as the Fab Four made their first appearance of the year amid long-running claims of a rift.

Kate and Meghan reportedly first fell out in the build up to last year’s Royal Wedding in an alleged disagreement over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

News of Meghan and Harry’s decision to move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage added even more fuel to the claims.

But tomorrow’s reappearance could suggest the feud has calmed down since Meghan and Harry’s move to Windsor.
