The One Show returned to BBC for the first instalment of the week with Alex Jones and Matt Baker presenting.
Joining them on the green sofa was entrainment legend Lionel Blair and during one moment, he was told off by Matt for talking too loudly.
It came as broadcaster Angela Scanlon, alongside two architects who worked on the new BBC Two show Your Home, Made Perfect, also appeared.
Keen to find out how he could improve his own kitchen arrangement, Lionel questioned the experts sitting next to him
But Matt was keen to move onto another segment of the show and wanted to read the credentials.
“Lionel you’ll have to talk to our architects because we’ve ran out of time,” he commented sitting cross armed.
“You can keep chatting, you just need to do it quietly,” Matt continued and then faced the camera and said: “The first episode of Your Home, Made Perfect is on tomorrow eight o’clock on BBC Two.”
He then said to Lionel: “Just talk a bit quieter,” and his co-host Alex added: “Yes, shhh.”
Whilst it was all taken in jest, the show then moved onto showing a clip about supermarket eggs.
It comes after Angela revealed she would be filling in for Alex in a couple of weeks.
The welsh presenter is due to give birth to her second child later this year and Angela will be taking over her role on The One Show temporarily.
Appearing on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch yesterday, Angela who has previously sat in for Alex, spoke about reprising the role.
She said: “I’m actually on The One Show tomorrow as a guest on the other side and yes I will be sitting in for her [when she goes on maternity leave].”
It comes after an episode which aired last week when Miriam Margoyles was a guest.
When asked about the time she met the Queen, the actress revealed how she had been told off by the monarch.
During a tongue and cheek moment, Miriam explained: “Well, so embarrassing. British book week at Buckingham Palace, the Queen walks over to me and she says ‘And what do you do?’
“And I said, instead of saying I’m an actress or I read stories, I said – oh it’s so embarrassing. I said ‘I’m the best reader of stories in the whole world!’
“Because I think when you meet royalties something snaps in you, I was nervous and I behaved like an idiot!
“And she clearly thought so because she looked at me and went [insert eye roll],” Miriam concluded.
The One Show airs weeknights at 7pm on BBC One.
