Joe Swash cradles pregnant Stacey Solomon's baby bump in tender moment on the red carpet

JOE Swash and Stacey Solomon shared a tender moment last night as he cradled his girlfriend's baby bump on the red carpet.

But Joe, 37, couldn't resist making onlookers giggle and stuck out his stomach as pretended to be 'pregnant' too.

The couple confirmed they are expecting their first child together last month and were in high spirits at Champney's Charity Gala Ball in aid of Cancer Research.

They were suitably glam for the occasion, with glowing Stacey slipping into a floor length gown that cascaded over her belly.

Cheeky chap Joe looked dapper in a fancy suit and loafers, but ditched his socks for the event at The London Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel.

However, it wasn't a late night for the busy pair, as Stacey, 29, appeared on ITV's Lorraine today to discuss releasing her new book, titled Imperfectly Happy.

She also told viewers she WILL take maternity leave after she previously admitted she was worried about being strapped for cash.

She explained last month: "I'm self-employed so if I don't work, I don't get paid. In this industry you can only earn while you're earning and it might be a situation that I have work now but in six months time I might not. I will carry on working."

She confirmed today that she will temporarily quit Loose Women and cut down on otherΒ  commitments when she delivers her first baby with Β Joe.

She said: "I will give myself a couple of weeks to adjust before the due date. But you know I enjoy my work so much and that will keep me occupied, it gets to that point in pregnancy that you think 'Oh my god is it ever going to end?' Work can help with that.

"People keep saying I can't take maternity leave but of obviously I can, but we are all self employed so it is different, we could not be working for the next six months.

"I'm not planning on having loads of maternity but I'm not planning on having none."

Stacey had previously told Loose Women viewers that taking maternity leave is difficult because she doesn't get paid.

Stacey and Joe, 37, first started dating in January 2016 and the former X Factor star is already mum to 10-year-old Zachary and six-year-old Leighton, who she shares with ex Dean Cox.

She also opened up about the sex of her unborn baby and admitted that she would be "interested" in welcoming a daughter into the family.

Stacey told host Lorraine Kelly: "We feel so privileged to be able to pregnant. I definitely am interested, that curiosity about having a girl. But I feel we are really lucky to be parents please god we have a healthy baby, no matter what."
