Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon has pleaded not guilty to GBH (grievous bodily harm) and common assault.

The star, who plays Daz Spencer in the popular ITV soap, has been accused of biting a man, 67 year old Andy Potts, on the face and the thumb. The incident is said to have occurred at The Farrers Arms Pub in Oldham on July 1.

As reported by The Mirror, Jordon appeared at Tameside Magistrates’ Court in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, accompanied by his girlfriend Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt in Emmerdale.

The actor confirmed his name, date of birth, address and nationality in front of the courtroom, while his representative revealed that he was pleading not guilty.

Jordon was granted unconditional bail, and will appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on December 6.

The actor first appeared on Emmerdale as Daz in 2014 for a guest stint, and he joined the regular cast in 2017.
