Coronation Street has teased new turmoil for Maria Connor, played by actress Samia Longchambon, as she appears to confide in another resident.
Maria is seen sat on the sofa of her flat, confiding in Michelle Connor about something not yet revealed.
The character looks pretty worried or unsure about something, and appears to be sharing her woes with her former sister-in-law.
Michelle is offering her a sympathetic look as she lends her ear, trying her best to ease her concern.
The two ladies don’t often appear in scenes together despite their family link.
Maria was married to Michelle’s late brother Liam Connor, who was hit by a car and killed in 2008.
They had a son together, also named Liam, with the now 10 year old being Michelle’s nephew.
While Corrie have dropped no hints as to what the ladies are talking about, they did tease a “storm” could be brewing.
The image caption read: “We've had a week of glorious sunshine – but are there stormy times ahead on the Street?”
It comes following the news that Michelle actress Kym Marsh is leaving the ITV soap after 13 years in the role.
The actress later confirmed it is only a brief departure, and she isn’t quitting the show for good.
While it isn’t known when Michelle will be back on the Cobbles, it’s been revealed her exit plot won’t play out until much later in the year.
Michelle’s cousin Kate Connor is also departing the Street, as is her former flame Robert Preston.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
