Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek channels Freddie Mercury in VERY tight trousers at the Baftas

The actor, 37, won the best actor gong for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic, and it appeared he was still channelling the legendary frontman when he squeezed into his clothes.

Rami posed for a smiley snap with best actress Olivia Colman, both clutching their iconic mask gongs.

His tight trouser gaffe comes after a Top Of The Pops cameraman in Bohemian Rhapsody couldn't stop filming the frontman's crotch as he performed on stage.

Last night Rami matched with fellow winner Olivia in their monochrome outfits.

However, Rami looked like he had rammed himself into his very tight trousers to achieve his slick look.

The actor has had a hugely successful awards season thanks to his role of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

He also won a Best Actor gong at the Golden Globes.

Speaking as he collected the award, he said: "I still cannot believe that I’m included with this group of actors.

It’s quite difficult entering your [British] world with this role, as an outsider.
"It’s not lost on me how sacred your musical heritage is."

He revealed he fell in love with London so much while filming here, he is even looking for a pad in the capital.

He added: “Shooting here was honestly one of the best things I’ve done in my life.

"I got to go from Abbey Road Studios, Air Studios and see all of London and fall in love with it, to the point where I am looking for a place to live here.”
